MyVin.am ("we," "us," or "our") is a vehicle history report service operating at myvin.am. We are registered as an individual entrepreneur (IE) in the Republic of Armenia. Our service provides digital vehicle history reports sourced from third-party databases (Carfax, AutoCheck) and vehicle configuration data to customers via our website.

Data We Collect
We collect the minimum data necessary to deliver our services:
Email Address
Provided voluntarily when you purchase a report. Used to deliver your report as a backup and to communicate important service updates. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails.
VIN Numbers
The Vehicle Identification Numbers you search. Stored temporarily to process your request and cached to enable re-delivery of previously purchased reports.
Payment Information
Card details, transaction amounts, and payment status. Payment processing is handled entirely by our banking partner (Armenian vPOS via ArCa, Visa, or MasterCard) or IDram. We never store your full card number or CVV on our servers.
Usage Data
Anonymous data about how you interact with our website — including pages visited, session duration, and browser type — collected via Vercel Analytics. No personally identifiable information is included.
Cookies
Technical cookies necessary for the site to function (session management) and analytics cookies used by Vercel Analytics. See Section 7 for details.
How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect for the following specific purposes:
- To process your order and generate the requested vehicle history or configuration report.
- To deliver a copy of your report to your email address as a backup.
- To re-deliver previously purchased reports upon request.
- To respond to your support inquiries.
- To maintain the technical operation and security of our website.
- To analyze aggregated, anonymous usage patterns and improve our service.
- To comply with our legal obligations under Armenian law.
We do not use your data for automated profiling, targeted advertising, or any purpose beyond those listed above.
Legal Basis for Processing
Under Armenia's Law on Protection of Personal Data (2015), we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
Processing your email, VIN, and payment details is required to fulfill your order for a vehicle report.
For analytics cookies and usage data collection. You may withdraw consent at any time — see Section 9.
Certain transaction records may be retained to comply with Armenian tax and accounting requirements.
Maintaining system security, preventing fraud, and improving service quality — balanced against your privacy rights.
Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following third parties, and strictly for the purposes described:
Your VIN is transmitted to our vehicle history data providers to retrieve Carfax and AutoCheck report data. No personal identifiers (name, email) are sent — only the VIN.
Your VIN is transmitted to our vehicle specification data provider to retrieve vehicle configuration and equipment data. Again, no personal identifiers are shared.
Your card details are transmitted directly to our banking partner's secure payment gateway. We receive only a payment confirmation token — never your full card data.
If you choose to pay via IDram, your payment is processed directly by IDram under their own privacy policy.
Vercel collects anonymized usage data from our website. No personally identifiable information is shared. Vercel's data processing is governed by their privacy policy.
We may also disclose your data if required by Armenian law, court order, or other legal process.
Data Retention
We retain your data only for as long as necessary:
Email addresses
Retained until you request deletion or withdraw consent.
VIN data and report cache
Retained for up to 12 months to enable re-delivery of purchased reports, then deleted.
Payment transaction records
Retained for the period required by Armenian tax and accounting law (generally 5 years), after which they are permanently deleted.
Analytics data
Anonymized — no retention limits apply as it cannot be linked to you personally.
Cookies and Analytics
We use the following types of cookies:
Necessary for the website to function — managing your session as you search for a VIN and complete a purchase. Cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
Placed by Vercel Analytics to collect anonymized usage statistics. These help us understand how visitors use our site and improve the user experience. You may opt out by adjusting your browser settings or using a browser extension that blocks analytics trackers.
Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Specifically: all data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS (256-bit encryption). Payment data is processed through a PCI-compliant Armenian bank vPOS gateway and never passes through or is stored on our servers. Our infrastructure is hosted on Vercel, which maintains industry-standard security certifications. Despite these measures, no internet transmission is 100% secure. Your Rights
Under Armenia's Law on Protection of Personal Data (2015), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Right of Access
Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification
Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to Erasure
Request deletion of your personal data where there is no overriding legal basis for us to retain it.
Right to Withdraw Consent
Withdraw consent for any processing based on consent (e.g., analytics cookies) at any time, without affecting prior processing.
Right to Object
Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Right to Lodge a Complaint
File a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Agency (PDPA) under the Armenian Ministry of Justice.

Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
